About Joshua
Josh is devoted to public writing, having spent four years writing, designing, and editing for various campus publications, including The Stanford Daily, Caesura Journal, Untitled Journal, and Aisthesis. His love of poetry and philosophy have taken him to conferences and archives across the United States and Western Europe, supported by Stanford grants. His thesis research, challenging the status of William Blake's theological poetry, won the Golden Medal for Excellence in the Humanities.

A native Los Angeleno, Josh cultivates a variety of interests in philosophy, cheerleading, music, literature, theology, and exploring the depths of bookstores. Outside of the classroom, you can often find Josh on the hiking trail, playing his tenor saxophone, or reading outside. As a tutor, Josh is eager to help students develop their academic and intellectual abilities by inspiring a deep passion for writing and reflection. Lessons will generally be divided into three stages: (i) pressing questions, (ii) elucidations/analysis, and (iii) goal assessment and revisions.
