About Juliet

My Teaching Philosophy:

While our lessons will be flexible and interactive, they’ll always be guided by your goals first.

Every student begins with a short needs analysis, so we can assess your level, define your goals, and build a learning plan that works for you.

Here’s what to expect from my lesson style:

Lessons will be student-centred and focused on your goals, level, interests, and learning style.

We’ll prioritise fluency over accuracy wherever necessary, so you can communicate confidently without fear.

The environment will be safe and supportive, where you’ll feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and participating.

I’ll give you consistent feedback to help you grow without pressure.

We’ll practise real-life English in ways that feel natural, useful, and enjoyable.

Every lesson is a space for growth, not perfection, and that’s what makes progress possible.

What helps me be a supportive teacher is my love for:

Reading

Creative arts

Yoga & Meditation

These tools have helped me stay grounded, positive, and present.

They’ve also helped me regulate my nervous system, which I believe is essential for every teacher.

️ My Teaching Journey

My passion for teaching started when I was 10. It began with me tearing pages out of magazines and pretending I was marking my students' work. This continued into high school, where I volunteered as a tutor and helped my peers prepare for their preliminary exams. I also became involved in projects that supported young children and their families in Soweto, helping them learn to read and write.

In addition to that, during these years, I was elected as Chairperson of the Girls and Boys Educational Movement and served as Head Girl (RCL President) in my high school. These leadership roles helped me build the confidence to guide others, communicate clearly, and take initiative, qualities that now shape my teaching every day.

So whether you're learning English for work, exams, travel, or personal confidence, you're welcome here.

My goal is to make sure you feel supported, your needs are met, and every lesson is tailored to your learning style.
