About Luca
I delivered theoretical and practical modules in recording and production techniques covering different media disciplines and industry practices in film, radio, electronic music and collaboration. I taught over 300 students with incredible talent. Some of them are now professional musicians, designers and engineers. My students praised my knowledge, passion for the subject and industry and creative flare.
I developed and delivered various modules encompassing audio practices for radio and podcasting, film and music theory, media writing, multimedia production, music production, performance, cultural research practice, sound studies, hybrid media, advanced design projects, dissertations, postgraduate supervision, and courses on composition for contemporary dance and theatre, as well as composing with sound.

Throughout my career, I practised interdisciplinary education, particularly exploring the role of sound in lived experiences and engaging with local communities to understand its significance. My collaborations with artists, performers, and filmmakers have resulted in immersive artworks showcased at renowned events such as the Venice Biennale.
My teaching philosophy revolves around student-centred education, prioritising individual critical thinking and creative development. I believe in creating an inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to actively engage in discussions and share their ideas.
In addition to my teaching commitments, I have a track record of organising extracurricular activities and events, both on and off campus, to provide students with holistic learning experiences.
