My entrance exam or scholarship application tutorials target a range of skills personalised to your needs. As more and more students apply for these schools each year, my focus on finding ways for you to stand out from the field. Practice interviews based on the format of current entrance exams, followed by feedback on how to build on your unique strengths and improve, develop the self-confidence and conversational skills that help you make a lasting impression on interviewers. I discuss the challenging points of entrance or scholarship exams, and tailor revision strategies to each students' particular way of learning.
My English Literature lessons challenge learners to write thoughtful, intelligent and powerful essays about prose, poetry and drama. Beginning with discussion of how to identify and understand the literary techniques used by writers, I introduce students to unfamiliar texts to help them learn how to write clearly and effectively about pieces of literature which they have never seen before. Additionally, I offer lessons on books which students have been assigned by their school, discussing the background on who the writer was, the time in which they lived, and the most important themes of the book, giving them the tools they need to go into English exams with confidence.
