About Kishan

I am a Dental student and have studied Chemistry, Maths, and Biology at A level achieving A*A*A. Together with 10 A*s at GCSE and an A in AS Geography, I have an exemplary academic record and a Gold Duke of Edinburgh award to my name. Through my excellent academic career I have developed a passion for learning and am keen to share this with others. As an experienced Scout leader and qualified pool Lifeguard, I know how to get the best out of young people and to help them learn in a way that is effective and works for them. Using interactive, modern and traditional techniques I will enhance the students' knowledge base and help them reach their highest potential. I look forward to building a rapport with my students. I have a friendly manner, sure to put anyone at ease, and I enjoy teaching others about the subjects I love. Your success is my success!

About the lesson

I like to understand my students, to assess how they are working so that any gaps can be filled and teach them how to enhance their knowledge base. Lessons with me will focus on exam technique, revision strategies and the skills needed to further understand the core concepts of the curriculum. I have developed and refined my own exam skills and techniques over the last few years and am certain that I will be able to help you find what works for you. I will use a number of resources and interactive tasks to keep students engaged, build understanding and secure concepts in long term memory. We will work through exam style questions together, go over key concepts and review any areas of your course that you may be struggling with. I would be happy to work on personal statements, UCAT preparation and university applications of all prospective students. I believe I have a good understanding of what universities, dental/medical schools particularly, are looking for and will be able to help you to create a successful application.
