About Dan
With a Scientific Bac, I joined in 2016 the preparatory literary class of the Saint-Sernin high school in Toulouse. In 2017, I joined the Aix-en-Provence IEP, with the desire to enrich my general culture, and also to satisfy my passion for History. Since my early childhood, I have enjoyed immersing myself in old historical grimoires: discovering the characters who have made our history, the battles which have decided the fate of nations, understanding the movement of peoples and their cultures ... Carry out a study history is above all studying humans and their behavior. How have men, in a given context, been able to act in such a way? What were their reasons / motivations? What conflicts gave birth to these ambitions? How is an era built by a succession of micro-events and not necessarily by a single and unilateral event? I therefore consider that the teaching of history must be a dynamic, interactive and participatory teaching. Because when we look at Historiography, which corresponds to the study of the different currents of historians, we see that human interpretation plays a key role here in giving birth to a certain vision of History. My teaching will therefore be based on a solid course, scientifically supported by researchers recognized worldwide, but will allow the student to appropriate the historical facts, and to interpret them in his own way. The teaching of history is alive, because we study the lives of men! The goal is not only to have the best possible grade, but also to build a general culture that will be useful throughout his professional life, whatever the chosen sector! General culture is essential, I will approach it from a historical angle, while bringing to it philosophical, economic, cinematographic references ... Dorthe Berntsen, researcher from the University of Aarhus in Denmark, proved in a study that emotion is at the heart of learning. To better memorize your course, the learning sessions must be lively and stimulating! I will do my best so that my students are transported to the waves of History, in our little longship which will lead them to achieve their academic goals, and like the Vikings at one time, to discover new horizons. My course will therefore be a clever mix between rigor and flexibility. The students will not have time to be bored, because I will do everything to make them as passionate as I am!
