About Millie
I have always loved English, ever since I was a child. It came naturally to me and still does, and I want to be able to make it easier for others who perhaps don't find it as easy. I know that it's a wonderful subject and that with the right help and gentle support, anyone can succeed in it. I want to make that difference.
My career goal is to teach at university level, but I want to build up a background in general education before I get there. That's the reason I work part-time in a college!
I have ghostwritten books, I've studied English at university, and am continuing to do so... my brain is so packed full of English knowledge it just made sense to come and share some of it with you!

My lessons will be around 30 minutes, and will usually start with a refresh of the previous lesson. We will pick up anything that you're still stuck on, and from there we'll try to go over it in a new way before expanding on the ideas from the previous session and moving on with the curriculum at hand.
I have taught year 7s before as a reading mentor, and have studied Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have a BA (Hons) in English Language and Creative Writing and I am studying towards an MA in Applied English. In addition to this, I've studied creative writing in courses led by published authors. All of this has given me the skills to help guide you through the process of analysis, essay writing, creative writing and reading.
