About Blake
For the past 8 years, I have enjoyed teaching trumpet to school and college students who want to develop their musical skills and confidence. My goal is to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and focused on helping students reach their highest potential.
My teaching includes breathing exercises, posture improvement, embouchure development, articulation, rhythm, tone production, scales, music reading, ear training, music theory, and performance preparation. I explain each topic clearly and encourage students to apply what they learn through regular practice.
One of the most meaningful milestones in my career has been helping students become confident performers who truly enjoy sharing their music. Watching their growth has strengthened my commitment to education.
I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to match individual learning styles. My classroom is welcoming, encouraging, and focused on continuous improvement.
Teaching gives me the opportunity to inspire confidence, creativity, and a love for music. I am committed to helping every student build strong trumpet skills while enjoying a positive and rewarding learning experience.

My teaching methodology focuses on building strong trumpet fundamentals while making every lesson enjoyable and meaningful. I personalize my teaching to suit each student's learning style and help them progress at a comfortable pace. My goal is to develop both musical ability and self-confidence.
Motivation is an essential part of my teaching. I encourage students to believe in their potential and celebrate every improvement they make. This keeps them motivated to continue learning and practicing.
Communication creates effective learning. I explain concepts clearly, use simple English, demonstrate techniques carefully, and encourage students to ask questions whenever they need support.
Integrity is reflected in my commitment to honesty, respect, and patience. I provide helpful feedback while encouraging responsibility and consistent practice.
Creativity keeps lessons engaging and enjoyable. Students participate in breathing exercises, tone-building activities, rhythm practice, improvisation, musical expression, and performance preparation that strengthen both technique and confidence.
Besides trumpet, I also teach music theory, rhythm studies, ear training, sight-reading, beginner improvisation, ensemble performance, and concert preparation. My aim is to help students become well-rounded musicians who enjoy learning for a lifetime.
