Hi, I'm a technology professional and proud immigrant who has called Surrey home for over 15 years.
When I first arrived in Canada, I understood better than most how much language shapes everything — your confidence at work, your ability to connect with people, and your sense of belonging in a new country. English wasn't just a skill I needed to learn; it was the key that unlocked every opportunity I have today. And over 15 years later, I can honestly say that mastering it changed my life.
That's exactly why I teach.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Technology and have built a 15+ year professional career here in Canada — so when I talk about workplace English, professional communication, or navigating life as an immigrant, I'm speaking from real lived experience, not a textbook.
What drives me most as a tutor is watching people find their confidence. That moment when a student stops second-guessing themselves mid-sentence, raises their voice in a meeting, or finally feels comfortable speaking to their child's teacher — that's everything to me. I've seen it happen over and over, and I never get tired of it.
I teach conversational English, accent reduction, grammar, writing, and workplace communication. I also speak Hindi and Punjabi fluently, so if you're a South Asian newcomer who feels more comfortable starting in your mother tongue, we can absolutely work that way. No judgment — just progress at your pace.
My lessons are structured and practical. I provide lecture notes after every session so you always have something to refer back to. I offer in-person lessons in Surrey and virtual lessons for students anywhere in BC and beyond.

I'm a fellow immigrant based in Surrey, BC, with a Bachelor's degree in Technology and 15+ years of professional experience. I've walked the same road you're on, and I know exactly how much confidence in English can change your life here in Canada — at work, at school, and in everyday situations.
I teach English to newcomers, working professionals, university and high school students, and stay-at-home parents across Surrey and online. I also speak Hindi and Punjabi fluently, so South Asian students can learn in their mother tongue first, making the process faster, clearer, and far less intimidating.
