About Monis
I am a private tutor working in math and reading. Well, I teach math now, but I had actually given up on teaching math for a time because it seemed my highest hope was to help my students memorize procedures and somehow remember when to use which one. I had resorted to teaching kids skip-counting songs and cute stories to help them remember their math facts. I really wanted to find a way to help my students understand math at a deep level. So, I gave up, to be blunt.
