About Dancie
I would love to be your tutor because teaching and others are my passions. I have volunteered as an English teacher in Morocco and Vietnam. I worked as an English teacher in Vietnam, and privately online. I am TEFL certificated. I do many language exchanges with people from around the world online. I am also passionate about learning new languages myself. I am currently learning Spanish, Italian, and Hungarian. I love traveling and learning about cultures from around the world. I have seven years of tutoring students in English online. My biggest passion in life is to help others. I have worked as a travel nurse for the last ten years in the united states. I consider one of my biggest achievements as an English tutor is when I lived in Vietnam. I lived in Ho Chi Minh City near a street with many bars and clubs. My neighbor was a single mom with a four-year-old daughter. She worked at night selling street food while her daughter was sleeping. One night she told me she wanted to learn English, so I agreed to teach her. We both would work selling street food, and when there were no customers I would sit on the street and teach her. Another night two girls approached us, and the oldest one who was twelve years old said " I want to learn." I agreed to teach them too. Their parents made them work throughout the night, so they could not attend school like other kids. Before I knew it, I was leading an English class on the street in Vietnam at 1 am for adults and children who desperately wanted to learn but did not have any means to take the traditional route of education. I would love to be your tutor, and I believe my skills and experiences can offer a unique experience to my students. I have an open and flexible schedule, and I am able to teach up to 40 hours per week.

My classes are fun and educational. We will cover a wide range of conversational topics. I like to customize every lesson to my student's needs, interests, and goals. Some of my lessons have included practice interviews, news articles, poems, music, grammatical correction, exam prep such as IELTS, and many more. The most important thing is to have fun while you are learning!
