I am an elementary art teacher with 7+ years of experience. I work with students of many cultural backgrounds that are learning English for the first time. My art lessons elevate what they are learning with their ESL teachers. I even have a certificate in teaching just English as a bonus to my skill set. I teach based on real life interactions that deal with the day to day to increase speaking and listening fluency. My lessons are for all levels of learners. A typical lesson starts with being introduced to new vocabulary/grammar rules. We do a worksheet assignment to understand how to properly use the new introduced idea and then we role play and have conversations that utilized what was just taught in real time. I try to make lessons student centered so that students progress based on their needs.
