About Sarah
With a Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts and hundreds of classroom hours under my belt I have worked with dozens of students and helped increase their grades and overall attendance and comfort in school. I am studying for my Master's in Teaching English as Second language to be both certified in teach High School English and to work with ESL students specifically.

i approach my students with an open mind and unconditional love. They show up, and when then do, i am there with a smile on my face ready to learn with them, no matter if they have missed some lessons are are unprepared. I am led by them. They will open up to me and let me help them when they trust me and can relate to me. When i laugh at my attempts of Spanish with my Spanish speaking students they become more comfortable working on their pronunciation and vocabulary with me.
You must start from where a student is and make realistic goals. If a fourth grader reads at a 2nd grade level- we start their and we how to first get him to a third grade level and, with more work, fourth. We don't push and intimidate and threaten into learning. We break subject down to sections and tackle them together.
