About Courtney
I am a Textile Design BA student, studying at Art University in Norfolk.
I studied Textiles and Fine Art at A Level recieving an A in both and I have been an assistant to local Norfolk artists within their work and exhibitions.
I have skills in drawing, painting, weaving, knitting, crochet, printing etc.
Sustainability is a big part of my practise so I will putting this across in my classes. Using the materials around you to create pieces will be a big part of my lessons.
May it be learning how to create a loom out of a cardboard box, how to create a new ball of yarn from your old knitted jumper that no longer fits or creating colour palette designs from recycling.
I can teach up to an A-level practise, or year 0-1 BA.

My teaching method is to start at the basics and to help you work your way up into more advance arts.
I may start with experimental pencil drawings, changing into black and white paint techniques.
I will ask for you to set a goal for yourself. May it be "improve on my realistic painting techniques" or "learn how to weave."
If you did wish to weave (as an example) I would start by introducing the materials and equipment. Then simple processes will be taught.
