About Vasiliki

I’m Vasiliki, an experienced educator and private tutor with over 10 years of teaching and support work in UK schools and more than a decade of one-to-one tutoring. I work with primary, secondary and adult learners, and I specialise in Ancient/ Modern Greek, Religious Education, Philosophy and Ethics. Having taught and supported classes across KS1–KS4, I understand how the curriculum works in practice and can adapt lessons to each student’s level, goals and learning style.
My approach is calm, structured and inclusive. I have extensive experience supporting EAL and SEND learners, including differentiated instruction, small-group work and 1:1 intervention. I hold a BA in Childhood Education Studies, a BA in Theology, and official recognition as a Religious Education teacher. Whether you need help with language skills, exam preparation, subject knowledge or building confidence, I aim to create a supportive space where students feel understood and can make steady progress.

About the lesson

About the Lessons
Tailored 1-hour sessions designed around your goals, level, and learning style. Backed by 10+ years of UK classroom and tutoring experience, lessons blend clear structure with personalized flexibility to ensure every session feels purposeful and well-paced.

Subjects & Approach
Subjects Offered: Ancient/ Modern Greek, Latin and Religious Education / Philosophy & Ethics.

Target Learners: A-level, GCSE, adult beginners, EAL, and learners with additional needs (SEND).

Teaching Style: Starts from your existing knowledge, using plain-language explanations, guided practice, and targeted application rather than generic worksheets. Mistakes are treated as key learning opportunities, and the lesson adapts in real time if something isn't working.

Typical 1-Hour Session Structure
First 5–10 Mins: Check-in, review of previous work, and setting a clear goal.

Main Teaching (20–25 Mins): Step-by-step explanation of new concepts with real-time checks for understanding.

Practice (15–20 Mins): Guided and independent tasks (speaking, writing, analysis, or exam prep).

Final 5–10 Mins: Key recap, personalized feedback, and optional follow-up tasks.

What You Can Expect
Flexibility: Available online or in person, tailored to your preferred style (conversational or structured).

Preparation: Share your exam board, current topics, or learning needs in advance so every session can be custom-planned. No special setup is required for the first lesson unless you have specific materials you wish to cover.

Vicky has been teaching my 2 children for 3 years now. She is a wonderful tutor who keeps the kids engaged throughout the hour. She is very encouraging and her positive energy helps the children enjoy their lessons. I particularly like the honest feedback she provides at the end of each lesson and recommends what they should be focusing on in-between lessons.
Highly recommended!
