I take our first session to ask you some questions regarding your in-school teaching so that I can personalise my session-by-session plan. At this point I can share with you your personalised plan and we can work through a tried and tested methodological approach to improvement. We begin by refining essay skills, deconstructing how we write and plan every aspect. We then move onto working alongside mark schemes to adopt skills such as embedding context and high-level interpretation. If necessary, we can also take time to do a Shakespeare deep-dive where we tackle the common pitfalls in studying the Shakespeare plays.
