About Monstala

I'm a super-powered mom on a mission to conquer the world of teaching while dabbling in the magical realm of special effects makeup. I've been rocking the education scene for six years now, all while balancing the craziness that comes with having a six-year-old tornado swirling around.

When I'm not in the classroom or chasing after my mini-me, you'll find me knee-deep in glitter and prosthetics, conjuring up fantastical creatures with my special effects makeup skills. Who needs sleep when you can transform yourself into a mythical creature or a zombified superhero?

I also own my very own cosmetics line. From vibrant lipsticks that scream "confidence" to eyeshadow palettes that unleash your inner mermaid, my cosmetics line is all about empowering you to embrace your unique and fabulous self.

But amidst all the chaos, there's one thing I never forget – to have a good laugh. Life is too short to take ourselves too seriously, right? So, buckle up and get ready for an adventure-filled learning experience with a touch of humor. Because when it comes to teaching, I believe that laughter is the secret ingredient to unlocking our true potential.

So, join me on this wild and glitter-infused journey as I teach, create, and make the world a little more beautiful – one student and one fabulous makeup look at a time. Trust me, it's going to be a rollercoaster ride full of laughter, learning, and a touch of sparkle. Let's embrace the chaos together!

My lessons in Reading & Literacy are designed for students of various levels and backgrounds, focusing on improving their literacy skills and enhancing reading comprehension. Whether you're an elementary school student just starting your reading journey or a high school student looking to refine your comprehension skills, my lessons are tailored to meet your specific needs. When it comes to my teaching method and techniques, I believe in creating an interactive and immersive learning experience. I combine a variety of instructional strategies to keep my students engaged and motivated. From group discussions and guided reading activities to interactive games and technology-based tools, I ensure that each lesson is dynamic and stimulating.

A typical lesson plan in my classroom involves a well-rounded approach to reading and literacy. We kick off with an engaging warm-up activity that activates prior knowledge and sets the stage for the lesson. Then, we dive into the core content, exploring various reading strategies, vocabulary development, and comprehension techniques. I provide explicit instruction, modeling the thought processes and skills necessary for successful reading and comprehension.

One aspect that sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with my students on a personal level. I genuinely care about their progress and well-being, and I strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment. I take the time to understand their unique learning styles, interests, and challenges, adapting my teaching approach accordingly. This personalized attention allows me to tailor my lessons to their specific needs, fostering growth and confidence in their reading and literacy skills.
