About Ronah
Hello! I would thoroughly enjoy tutoring you in English as I believe that through studying and gaining knowledge we also gain confidence. Not only in our studies, applications to university, or future employability but also in ourselves as learners which we can carry through to other aspects of our life.
A few of my interests:
- Reading! My favourite book of the year so far has been Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
- Long walks on the beautiful beaches of my home the Isle of Lewis!
- Sport and exercise. While at university I have been a part of the rowing club, even sitting as secretary on the committee for one year. Previously I have tried many competitive sports from cheerleading to swimming, all of which I love!

As a third-year Aberdeen university student, studying English Language and Linguistics, I am passionate about helping secondary school students aged 12-18 to excel in their English language and literature classes. Passing my SQA national 5, higher, and advanced higher English studies with high grades and taking classes at university from language acquisition to the meanings of words, I have the necessary qualifications to make tutoring sessions fun and enjoyable while still being very beneficial for the student's learning. I take a student-led approach to tutoring, encouraging students to actively learn through asking questions and identifying where they need the extra help.
