About Sedona
I am a dedicated Honors and AP English student with a strong academic record and a passion for analytical writing and literature. I earned A’s in Honors English throughout my freshman and sophomore years, scored a 4 on the AP Language and Composition exam, and currently maintain an A in AP Literature. My success reflects not only subject knowledge but also discipline, organization, and attention to detail.
I take tutoring seriously and approach every session with preparation, professionalism, and respect for each student’s goals. I understand the expectations of middle and high school English courses, including Honors and AP levels, and I am familiar with current grading standards and exam rubrics.
Beyond academics, I value clear communication, patience, and reliability. My goal is not simply to help students complete assignments, but to build lasting skills in writing, analysis, and critical thinking that will benefit them throughout high school and beyond.

My tutoring approach is structured, analytical, and personalized to each student’s needs. As a high-achieving AP English student who scored a 4 on the AP Language exam and currently maintains an A in AP Literature, I understand both the curriculum and how essays are evaluated.
I begin by identifying areas for improvement, whether in grammar, thesis development, organization, or literary and rhetorical analysis. A typical lesson includes reviewing texts, breaking down key concepts, practicing thesis writing, outlining essays, and refining paragraphs for clarity and sophistication. For AP students, I incorporate timed writing practice and rubric analysis to build exam confidence.
My lessons are designed for middle and high school students in standard, Honors, or AP English courses. I specialize in essay writing, literary interpretation, rhetorical analysis, and exam preparation, helping students strengthen both skill and confidence.
