About Iqra
I am a high-achieving Year 9 student with a deep passion for English and a proven track record of helping others succeed. Having recently navigated the secondary transition myself, I offer a unique, peer-to-peer perspective that traditional tutors can't—I speak the same language as my students and understand the current curriculum from the inside out.
My Tutoring Experience
Proven 11+ Success: I have active experience tutoring students for the 11+ entrance exams. I specialise in breaking down complex verbal reasoning and helping students craft the high-level creative writing pieces that examiners look for.
Literacy & Spelling Mentor: I have worked with Primary and early KS3 students to bridge gaps in their literacy. I focus on building "word power" through modern reading and memory techniques that make spelling and grammar stick.
Academic Excellence: As a top-set student, I apply the same advanced study habits and essay-planning structures to my teaching that I use to excel in my own GCSE-level work. Contact me via email [ (concealed information)

English
I focus on making English feel less like a chore and more like a skill you actually want to use. My sessions are perfect for Primary and early Key Stage 3 students who need a boost.
Reading & Modern Lit: We’ll dive into books that are actually interesting, working on fluency and understanding the "why" behind the story.
Literacy & Spelling: I use fun memory tricks and practice drills to help master those tricky words and improve everyday writing.
Building Confidence: Because I’m a student too, I provide a relaxed environment where it’s okay to make mistakes while we learn together.
