About Chrystyna
I am a Hispanic studies and History graduate from the University of Nottingham.
I studied post A level Spanish and beginners Portuguese at University. I achieved a high 2.1.
I studied at two universities on my year abroad: the University of Zaragoza, Spain and the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
I am a friendly and bubbly individual who enjoys sharing my love of languages.
I speak Ukrainian as a heritage language.
Fun fact: I also love music and achieved a distinction in grade eight singing before University (I also offer services teaching singing, tutoring Spanish and history on Superprof).

I am a highly flexible tutor and will teach each lesson according to the learners needs. I can aid those studying GCSE English, using materials from the official exam boards and tutor non-native English students for their upcoming IELTS exam. In terms of GCSE exam boards, I am most familiar with Edexcel English GCSE, having studied it myself and obtaining a 7 in English literature and language and a distinction for spoken language. A lesson would be 30 minutes to an hour in length depending on how much time the student needs.
Previous experience:
English teaching:
• Volunteering to tutor a Ukrainian individual on a weekly basis through the charity ENGin to improve her English. I intend to keep in touch with this individual, as we got on so well, and hope to visit her once the War against Russia has been won! (August 2023-June 2024)
• Preparing students, who were refugees and asylum seekers, for their upcoming IELTS exam with the British Red Cross as part of the Nottingham Advantage Award. I taught online on Microsoft teams with two other volunteers for six weeks. We prepared students for listening, reading, writing and speaking exercises as well as teaching grammar and running through mock tests. (February to March 2023)
• Currently practicing a language exchange with an individual from Ukraine, she practices spoken English with me for half an hour and I practice my Ukrainian with her for the other half.

In the past, I have studied alongside Chrystyna, and she has been an excellent student, always helping me tackle challenges and making things as easy as possible for me alongside my learning journey.
