About Bethany
I'm a student who's currently on an intermittent break from Higher Education. I've been freelance tutoring since 2011 and have tutored those between the ages of 4-17. I completed my A-Levels in June 2019 (and gained University entry), alongside a BTEC course in Creative Media in 2017 and GCSES (alongside BTEC and VTEC qualifications) in 2016.

My teaching methodology focuses on array on techniques, wherein 'how' individuals are taught depends on the student. Group and individual work is often incorporated; often including group discussions, analysis and so forth. General techniques used within lessons includes producing posters, conversations on the topic at hand, feedback, spider-diagrams, article research, presentations video visualisation, audio (such as verbal repetition and listening to videos), grid work and other methods. Overall, the initial approach will be based on that of a combination of Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic learning, wherein the pupil(s) and myself can determine the best approach (including whether the tutoring sessions themselves will be isolatory or group-based). Self-learning techniques will also be discussed (such as methods of revision), and individual performance will be practiced (e.g. during group discussions pupils will 'go off' and analyse a topic, and then we will discuss said topic as a group/together).
