About Ali
I am a student in UBC studying Honors Biology. I studied university-level Biology during my high school for the National Biology Olympiad. I studied chemistry for the Olympiad as well because it is an important part of Biology. I have been tutoring Biology and Chemistry for the last year and I am totally comfortable with High School Science and university-level Chemistry. I specialize in cellular and molecular Molecules and structure, Organic chemistry, Thermodynamics, Stoichiometry, and electrochemistry.

I come from a family of teachers, my father and two of my uncles were teachers so I have used them as my standard to teach private and group classes. I try to assess the knowledge of my student in the first session and identify the student's weaknesses and strengths in the topic and use them to help the student gain control over the matter. I do not just try to teach them a bunch of the stuff, I get to know the student, find out about what is the student interested in, and then use those interests to simplify the topic and explain the materials.
