About Jasmine
I have a love and genuine passion for English as a subject and for teaching. I love sharing my knowledge of how to shape sentences, how to engage with different types of text, and how to create your own writing. I first found my passion for teaching as a young person who was offered a position in a local Saturday school teaching Finnish as a second language to children. Soon, I started to take on private students for English tutoring, too. I quickly discovered the many rewards of tutoring— getting to know each student on an individual basis, watching them discover their interests and abilities, and getting to witness the pride that they feel in themselves as they reach their goals are things that I value greatly as a tutor.

Hi! My name is Jasmine, and I would love to be your English tutor! My teaching style varies greatly depending on the needs, strengths, weaknesses, and goals of each student, making my students highly engaged in my lessons. My lessons could include more conventional teaching methods, such as exam practice, extract analysis, grammar, or story writing, or it could include analysing short story videos, playing educational games, or having students write their own questions for me. I have 5 years of experience as a tutor, having worked for online agencies, agencies targeting underperforming groups, and agencies targeting grammar school entrance exams.
