About Joshua
Hello, I'm Joshua. I have an undergraduate degree in law and started my career in the legal sector. I travelled to Korea and quickly realised that education was my true passion. Since then, I have built my career across England and Korea, including five and a half years as an English teacher, with four and a half of those as Head of English. I later became a director at Explore Learning and graduated from UCL IOE after studying Secondary English, achieving A grades in my academic work.
My hobbies are learning and education, and it's an honour to be able to make a career out of them. I read widely across many areas so that I can engage with my students and their interests. English should become a part of your life, not just something you study.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy swimming, going to the gym and spending time with my wife.
Seeing my pupils progress is something that motivates me every day, and I look forward to seeing your progress as well.

I am a UCL-trained British English teacher with seven years of experience in the UK and Korea. As a former Head of English and tuition centre director, I have taught thousands of students. This experience means I can tailor our lessons around your goals and the way you learn best.
Whether you want better conversational skills, work on your pronunciation or simply feel more comfortable using English, I can help. I know what it takes to make clear progress through the CEFR levels.
Conversation is a big part of my teaching. You will get useful corrections and learn better ways to express yourself. My experience also allows me to support students with academic English and exam preparation.
Lesson times can be flexible to meet your goals. All ages are welcome.
