About Alexander
I have many hours of experience helping students in advanced chemistry courses with typically low average scores succeed in the course. The reason for their success is that I teach them course-specific strategies that help them better understand the concepts and types of questions they may be asked on an exam. First, start by getting an idea of what the student is comfortable with in the course and what they are less confident with. Then I can design a lesson plan that aims to help the student focus on understanding the concepts they are shaky on. This will be done by designing engaging activities that address students' weaknesses in the course.
For the lessons, I will try to focus more on the understanding of the concepts rather than rote memorization, as I have seen that this helps students be more successful in the course.
