About Melissa
I am a year 2 Economics student at the University of Edinburgh. I’m originally from Cyprus, which is why I’m fluent in Greek, but went to English speaking schools my whole life which is why I consider both my native languages. I studied Mathematics, Economics, Geography, and Greek at A-Level, as well as Further Mathematics at AS-Level. I also did English Literature and Language at GCSE alongside Biology, History, Geography, Economics, Maths and Global Perspectives. I love teaching and believe that it also helps me simultaneously! Great teachers are lifelong learners, Teaching keeps my mind active, curious, and evolving! I love helping people and sharing my passion for a subject!

My lessons are interesting, interactive and fun! I use teaching methods that enhance learning without being too boring, and try to engage different teaching methods to accommodate each student’s learning preferences. Students construct knowledge through discussions, projects, and problem-solving. I combine elements of lecture, facilitation, and demonstration to tailor to individual students' strengths and needs.
