About Eleanor
My name is Eleanor! I'm an undergraduate student at Yale University. My majors are Music and Political Science, but I'm also very interested in linguistics and in language learning in general. My life goal is to become fluent in six languages! I love working with other people to help them succeed in their pursuits and I hope to aid many others in increasing their English fluency!

My approach as an English tutor is focused on building confidence through practical use of the language. I combine structured learning (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation) with interactive learning such as conversation practice, role-playing, and real-life scenarios.
A typical lesson begins with a short review, followed by introducing a new concept, guided practice, and ending with speaking activities or feedback. I will adapt each lesson to the student’s goals and pace.
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and focus on making lessons engaging and relevant. My lessons are suitable for beginners to advanced learners, including students, professionals, and anyone preparing for exams or improving everyday English skills.
I am semi-fluent in Spanish, so I can work especially well with native Spanish speakers!
