About Harry
Having studied Economics at A-Level and now at university, I understand both the academic content and the pressures that come with preparing for exams. I aim to create a relaxed but focused environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through topics they may initially find difficult.
I’m particularly interested in helping students build genuine understanding rather than relying purely on memorisation. Economics becomes much easier once the underlying logic is clear, and I enjoy breaking more complicated ideas into simple, manageable steps.
I take preparation and reliability seriously and want every lesson to have a clear purpose, whether that is improving subject knowledge, strengthening essay technique, revising for an exam or working through a specific area of weakness.
My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more confident in both their understanding of economics and their ability to apply it effectively in assessments.

I’m Harry, a BSc Economics student at the University of Sheffield, and I offer online tutoring in both microeconomics and macroeconomics.
My approach is to make economics clear and intuitive before moving into exam technique. I like to break difficult topics down into smaller steps, use real-world examples, and then apply the theory to diagrams, calculations and exam-style questions. I also focus on helping students understand why an answer is correct rather than simply memorising definitions.
Lessons are normally around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student. A typical session would involve reviewing a topic, working through examples together, identifying any areas of weakness, and then practising how to apply the material in an exam.
I am currently studying Economics at university and have completed my first year, giving me a strong foundation in areas including microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, mathematics and statistics. As a university student, I also understand the transition from school-level economics into more advanced economic thinking and can explain topics in an accessible way.
My lessons are particularly suited to GCSE and A-Level students, including students who want help understanding difficult topics, improving essay structure and evaluation, revising for exams, or simply becoming more confident in economics.
