About Morgan

I am a friendly, engaging, and dependable undergraduate student with extensive essay writing and exam preparation experience. During A-levels, I was part of a mentoring scheme that involved teaching children skills. This ranged from phonetic reading in younger years to A-level coaching. My time studying Art History at the University of Edinburgh has added to my expertise. This allows me a wealth of literacy skills which I will pass on to your child. I have over 3 years of experience helping children ages 5 upwards, so if your little one is struggling to read or can't quite grasp how certain words should sound, I can help! After struggling with stress and anxiety from exams, I can coach the student with a variety of empathetic coping mechanisms to ease this.

About the lesson

My methodology works on a case by case basis, first understanding the most effective teaching method for each student. I will adapt my teaching based on their needs and the topics being covered in each individual session. These can range from technical skills (such as close textual analysis or phonetic reading) to more practical recall methods (such as quizzes, mindmap making and flashcards). These techniques are ideal if the student is struggling with exam stress or anxiety. I am particularly good at helping younger children who need help reading and writing. I have a diverse range of games, and creative lessons which help engage young minds! The first lesson will allow me to understand what methods will work best and help lay the groundworks for topics you wish to be covered.
