About Zak
My name is Zak and I am a first-year Engineering student in London. I have always had a passion for Maths and Physics. I see Maths not just as a set of rules and formulae, but as its own language that unlocks endless possibilities and fosters critical thinking.
I want to tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others and find real satisfaction in seeing people grow in confidence and ability. Teaching also reinforces my own understanding, so every lesson is rewarding for both of us. During sixth form I co-ran an after-school engineering club where I helped students explore the maths and physics behind everyday technology, and that experience confirmed how much I enjoy sharing knowledge.
I also competed in the British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) and UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) competitions, achieving results within the top 300 in the country, demonstrating a strong academic foundation with a genuine enthusiasm for the subjects I teach.

I am a first-year Engineering student at Queen Mary University of London, offering online Maths and Physics tutoring for students in Years 8–11 (GCSE level). I achieved strong A-level results in Maths, Physics, with grade 9s at GCSE, giving me a solid grasp of the curriculum from the student's perspective.
My lessons are flexible and tailored to you — whether you're stuck on a homework problem, working through past papers, or starting a topic from scratch. I'll guide you through exam-board specific questions step by step, and make sure you understand the ideas behind the methods, not just how to apply them. Sessions typically run between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30, depending on what you need to cover.
I also have hands-on experience explaining technical concepts, having co-run an after-school engineering club during sixth form where I broke down the maths and physics behind everyday technology. I genuinely enjoy teaching and find real satisfaction in seeing students build confidence and improve.

I have been friends with Zak since year 7, whether it be end of topic tests or even our GCSES Zak has always managed to convey a variety of topics in a seamless and understandable manner. He does online tutoring and so has a good quality microphone and web camera, he also owns and has the access to a variety of different exam board past papers, text books, questions and mark schemes.
I have seen Zak helping out in classrooms at school, and it is impressive to see the way he explains difficult concepts in small understandable chunks. I believe students will truly benefit if Zak tutors them.
