About Olly
Hi I’m Olly. I’m currently about to start (in September) a master's in applied human rights law. I love teaching; I worked as a boarding tutor in a school in my gap year. I find humanities deeply, deeply interesting; you're discovering how the world works and what makes it work, not just adding numbers up or regurgitating measurements. But discussing the importance of history and human experience. Plus, I understand that learning isn’t easy, some things are immensely difficult and sometimes everything feels like it’s too much and you have this mountain to climb to try and get where you need to go. I want to try and help ease that feeling.

Hi. My approach would be homing in on a topic or topics of concern. Signalling out what’s the worry about this area and finding a way to mitigate this. For example, struggling to remember the various treaties affecting Weimar Germany. Fair enough, there were loads. We’ll look at them each in turn and find a memorable element of each to maintain a focused memory. Also making use of visual aids, like mind maps and photos to help better illustrate and remember information than just walls of text.
