About Maria

I am an enthusiastic and sociable law student with a great passion for languages. Alongside my studies, I have been working at Calvin Klein Underwear for four years now, where I have a permanent contract. I have been living with my boyfriend for a year, and in my free time, I really enjoy learning new languages. I pick up languages quickly, and I am currently learning several new languages myself. Precisely because I derive so much pleasure from learning languages, I love sharing that knowledge with others.

About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic university law student with an international background and a great passion for languages. I am of Greek descent and grew up in Athens, where I lived and studied until I was sixteen. Greek is my native language, and I completed my Greek secondary education with excellent results. Additionally, I have a high level of proficiency in English. At the age of fifteen, I obtained the Cambridge C2 certificate in Athens. Subsequently, I obtained my VWO diploma in the Netherlands with the Science & Health profile and am currently studying Law at university. I provide tutoring in: • English – for high school students and university students who want to improve their grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking skills, or self-confidence. • Greek – for beginners who want to learn Greek from the ground up. Because Greek is my native language, I can not only teach you the language but also help with natural pronunciation, everyday expressions, and practical conversations. I also help my Dutch-speaking boyfriend learn Greek daily, giving me extensive experience in explaining the language in a simple and understandable way. • Dutch – specifically for Greek-speaking beginners who have come to the Netherlands and would like to learn or practice Dutch. Having moved from Greece to the Netherlands myself as a teenager and having to learn Dutch, I fully understand the difficulties you might encounter. I can provide explanations in Greek and work with you step by step on everyday conversations, vocabulary, and self-confidence. My lessons are personal and tailored to your level, pace, and goals. I believe it is important that you feel at ease, dare to make mistakes, and, above all, practice a lot. Learning languages doesn't have to be stressful; I try to make my lessons accessible, practical, and fun!
