About Maria
My name is Maria and I am a University student aiming to major in English and Creative Writing. I have a strong love and passion for creative writing, and aim to share the wonders of English literature with those around me.
I have been writing for my entire life, though I have been participating in literary coffeehouses for the past 4 years, sharing my art. I have been published twice in my school's literary magazine, and received a score of 5 on the 2025 AP English Literature and Composition Exam.

Tutoring lessons are beginner-friendly and are ideal for students between grades 6-12, or for adults with no prior experience in creative writing. Each lesson is personalized and paced to fit the student's needs and points of improvement.
Lessons would begin with the introduction of literary devices in both poetry and narratives, building and strengthening student's fundamental understanding of basic literary techniques.
Once a strong understanding of literary devices is established, lessons will then focus on teaching students how to implement such devices into their own writing. If a student is unfamiliar with writing narratives and/ or poetry, the lessons will be adjusted to introduce the concept of writing at a beginner-friendly level.
Lessons will include brief homework assignments to strengthen the understanding of such devices, such as analyzing poems and short stories. Each assignment would be reviewed at the beginning of each tutoring session to assess the student's understanding of the material and identify/ tackle points of improvement.
