About Angelina

Outside of teaching, I’m a very bubbly and family-oriented person who loves spending time with the people closest to me, especially my younger brother, who means the absolute world to me. I also have a puppy called Marlene who is my best friend and definitely the cutest dog ever (although I may be slightly biased!).

I currently work both in hospitality and within a psychology clinic while completing my Master’s degree in Psychology, and I’m incredibly passionate about mental health and supporting others. I really enjoy meeting new people, building connections, and creating positive and comfortable environments, which is one of the reasons I love tutoring so much.

In my free time, I love reading, creative writing, Pilates, and going to the gym. Although I studied English Literature, I’ll admit I sometimes love fantasy books just as much as the classics! I also come from a French family background, so I regularly visit France and really value staying connected to both cultures and spending time with my family there.

I also love learning and am very committed to continuously growing, developing new skills, and applying the knowledge and experience I’ve built over time both academically and personally.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Angelina, and I am a University of Sussex English graduate currently completing my Master’s degree in Psychology. I offer friendly and personalised English lessons for children, adults, and non-native English speakers, always tailoring lessons to each individual’s confidence level, goals, and way of learning.

I’m a very bubbly, patient, and understanding person, and I genuinely love helping people grow in confidence and feel proud of themselves. I know that learning or improving English can sometimes feel intimidating, especially if someone worries about making mistakes or lacks confidence, so I always aim to create a relaxed, supportive, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

Having moved to England from France as a child and learnt English myself, I understand firsthand how challenging learning a language can be at times. Because of this, I’m particularly passionate about helping non-native English speakers feel more confident and supported throughout the process.

I also really enjoy working with children. My younger brother is 12 years younger than me, and throughout his education I have always helped him with reading, writing, homework, and building confidence in learning. Alongside this, my psychology studies and experience working within mental health settings have helped me develop a strong understanding of how differently people learn and communicate. I work well with children who are neurodiverse or may need a more patient, flexible, and understanding approach, and I understand how important it is to tailor lessons to each individual’s personal needs and learning style.

I believe communication is one of the most important parts of teaching, and I always want my lessons to feel like a safe and comfortable space where students can openly discuss what works best for them, what they may be struggling with, or anything they would like adapted. I take time to genuinely get to know each student both before and throughout lessons so that I can support them in the way that suits them best and helps them feel confident, understood, and encouraged.

Whether you are looking to improve spoken English, writing, reading, creative work, academic support, or overall confidence, I would love to help in a way that feels personalised, positive, and enjoyable.
