About James

Hi! I’m James, a professional vocal coach and the owner of A Dawn Of Music Studios. I’m passionate about helping singers develop their voice, build confidence, and discover what they are truly capable of as performers.

My approach to vocal training combines **healthy vocal technique, practical exercises, musicality, and performance skills**. I believe every singer has a unique voice, so I tailor lessons to the individual rather than trying to make every student sing the same way.

Whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced singer looking to improve, or someone who simply wants to become more confident singing in front of others, I can help you develop a stronger and more controlled voice.

What We Work On

Depending on your goals, lessons may include:

* Breath support and breath control
* Vocal warm-ups and conditioning
* Pitch and intonation
* Chest voice, mix voice, and head voice
* Developing a stronger and more consistent tone
* Vocal range and flexibility
* Register transitions and navigating the passaggio
* Vocal control and dynamics
* Resonance and vocal placement
* Singing with confidence and expression
* Ear training
* Performance technique
* Song interpretation
* Preparing songs for auditions, performances, or recording
* Developing a consistent practice routine

My Teaching Philosophy

I want students to understand **how their voice works**, not simply copy exercises.

We'll work together to identify what is holding your voice back and develop exercises that address those specific areas. I also believe practice should have a purpose. Instead of spending hours repeating exercises without knowing why, you'll learn what each exercise is developing and how to apply it to actual songs.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable using your voice. **Good singing isn't just about hitting the right notes—it’s about control, expression, confidence, and communicating something to your audience.

All Experience Levels Welcome

You don't need previous vocal training to get started. I work with beginners, intermediate singers, and more advanced vocalists.

If you've always wanted to sing but didn't know where to start, are struggling with your range or vocal control, or want to take your singing to the next level, I'd love to help.

**Your voice is an instrument. Let's learn how to use it.

Every student is unique, which is why we work together to establish individual goals. Our vocal coaching isn’t limited to singers. We also work with local television and radio personalities, public speakers, and other professionals who want to strengthen, refine, and enhance their speaking voices.
