About Anna

I have been providing tutoring in German, English and French for six years. In total I accompanied four different students over the years. Three of them in the lower secondary school (5th to 8th grade) and one from the Secondary High School to the final examinations this year. Of course, I can not move milestones by myself as a tutor if the student does not have the motivation to improve. On average, however, I can proudly say that ALL of my students have improved by at least one grade, a student even by 2 (from 4 to 2).

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Anna, I am 19 years old and have lived in Heidelberg since June 2017. Since April 2017, I am studying ethnology and religious sciences at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, but I will change to a winter semester and start a lehramt study in the subjects of German and English. To find out how the student's knowledge and understanding is, I would like to first explain the topic to be treated. So I can determine exactly where the weaknesses lie. I myself did my Abitur in 2016, so my own school time is not long ago, which is why I would not want to put the students under pressure and to bring them the stress-free, varied and interesting. So, in the end, there will be more hanging than trying to "bounce" as much as possible into the head with rigor and force. After graduating from high school I was in America for four months, where I could improve my schoolglish at this time. My main strengths in German are mainly creative writing (essays, interpretations, etc.), the grammar and spelling is, of course, a prerequisite, which I can explain in a clear way. In 2014, I also won the first prize at a writing competition for creative writing (essay). In recent years I have also given tuition in French. In my school days I took part in two student exchanges in France and moved with my grades always in the good to very good range. In all three subjects, I try to show as many good examples as possible what is expected. I try to clarify what the teacher tried to explain by means of the notes of the school lesson. If necessary, homework can also be done together or even be taught together before examinations. With my previous tutoring students I have prepared several presentations (search for information, translate into the foreign language, use the presentation medium, write card cards, practice lectures, ask questions).
