About Ilkay

I have been a highly motivated and professional Vinyasa, Yoga Therapy, Pregnancy and Teenage Yoga instructor ready to help individuals improve overall health since 2012. I have `Yoga Alliance’ certification as well as `Yoga Therapy` and `Yoga Pregnancy` qualifications. I have completed a yoga mentoring programme run by Jess Horn.

I am also a Senior Financial Advisor in corporate life. I am capable of delivering at the highest level. I have first-rate organisational skills and the ability to produce a consistently high standard of work. With excellent interpersonal skills, I am an effective team player and am capable of engaging and liaising with a broad range of individuals from a variety of backgrounds. My professional experience to date has provided a wealth of specialist skills and expertise and I am committed to facing fresh challenges.

I have a BSc degree in Economics, Finance and Management and I am currently studying for an CIMA qualification.

I have worked for the sectors of Housing Association, Freelance, Istanbul 2020 Olympic and Paralympic project, E-commerce, Consumer electronics, FMCG for 20 years.

About the lesson

Yoga has always been part of my life and has taught me several things that built inner and outer strength. From paying attention to breathing awareness to deepening in the poses mentally and physically in order to derive the best possible benefits. I was eventually inspired to teach yoga after witnessing the amazing benefits it offered. I love teaching especially to beginners and intermediate levels as it is very special to share my experiences with students who are craving for new attempts in their lives. I believe that yoga leads to important mental and physical shifts that lead towards better balance, relaxation to destress, and the energy to keep pushing. My focus is on delivering the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga practice and the gains come with consistent practice, time and patience. I’m friendly, approachable and always pay attention to unique constraints or challenges that my students face.
