About Alex

I'm a singer and actor from Grimsby who moved to London in 2014 to study. Since then I have also worked as a Creatives Agent for North Artist Management so I have developed a good understanding of the industry through another lens. I love theatre and music which have always been a passion of mine. This led me to teach which is such a joy and has cemented itself as what I want to do as my career.

About the lesson

Alex teaches in Person and ONLINE with experience in teaching CCM – Musical Theatre and Pop/Rock!

Enhanced DBS Checked + Safeguarding Training
Sing Space Recommended Vocal Coach
LAMDA exam Teacher

Alex gained a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She is currently studying her MA Vocal Pedagogy at The Voice Study Centre (University of Wales Trinity Saint David).

She works with professional adult, adolescent and young performers on vocal technique, repertoire building, audition preparation, vocal health, acting through song, vocal reels, creating personalised ongoing training programmes and more! She draws upon many methods including Complete Vocal Technique, Primal Sounds, SOVTS and Estill.

Alex has experience working with children/adolescents and currently coaches’ students at Ridgeway Studios and River Music School alongside private clients (previously Stagecoach and Anna Florentini Academy) in preparation for West End auditions, school shows, and LAMDA singing and acting exams; she also has experience with ABRSM/Trinity exams.

She truly believes that singing is about self-expression and having fun! She has a more holistic approach to teaching thinking about mind, body and voice. She believes everyone is different so need a fresh and innovative approach.

*Testimonials*

“Alex has helped me so much with my singing, especially from being a dancer with no formal vocal training. Alex strengthened my technique and built my confidence so I was ready for auditions. I am now excited to be joining the cast of Cats with Royal Caribbean Productions!” ~ Henry

“I’ve recently started having weekly singing lessons with Alex and I could not recommend her more! I feel so comfortable with her and can already see an improvements within my confidence and knowledge of singing!” ~ Georgia

“I highly reccomend Alex for vocal coaching. She creates a safe, non-judgemental space which is imperative to exploring your voice to its full potential! She knows her stuff and personally helped me to fall in love with my voice again and focus on the positives rather than obsessing over the negative.” ~ Becky

Alex's response
Freya was a joy to teach and really listened and implemented the advice given. As an aspiring musician, she has great potential and can utilize her guitar, piano, and choir skills for her solo singing.

Alex I s great! Needed a session to go over some songs for a concert and she was super helpful! Great help with technique, super easy to have fun with and a judgement free space for trying new things vocally and acting through song. Would highly recommend to anyone as she really knows her stuff.
