About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor
My teaching methodology is centered on adapting to each student’s unique learning style and pace. I focus on building a strong foundation of core concepts and then applying them through practical examples and problem-solving exercises. My goal is to make learning both engaging and effective, empowering students to develop confidence in their abilities.

Typical Lesson Plan
My lesson plans are fully customizable to suit each student’s unique goals. If a student identifies a particular weakness in advance, I prepare targeted lessons and exercises to address it. Each lesson begins with a quick review of prior topics to reinforce understanding and build confidence. From there, we proceed to the day’s subject, starting with clear, step-by-step explanations tailored to the student’s needs. Guided exercises follow, providing an opportunity for practice with immediate feedback and support. Sessions conclude with a summary of key points and an open opportunity to ask questions. Alternatively, sessions can be open-ended, focusing on answering specific questions about subjects, labs, projects, or exam material. This flexibility ensures that every session is both productive and relevant to the student’s needs.

What Sets Me Apart
In addition to holding a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UdeM, I bring over 10 years of tutoring experience, including teaching at UdeM and across various ages (from elementary school to college). This blend of academic and hands-on teaching experience has honed my ability to simplify complex concepts and adapt lessons to suit individual needs. My approachable style and focus on creating a positive learning environment set me apart as a tutor who truly cares about my students’ success.
