About Dean

Hello! I’m a dedicated guitar instructor with over 12 years of experience teaching a diverse range of styles, including classical, jazz, rock, and funk. My journey with the guitar began at a young age, and my extensive training and performance background have equipped me with a deep understanding of various musical genres. This allows me to offer a rich and versatile learning experience tailored to each student’s needs and interests.

My teaching philosophy centers on personalized instruction. I believe that every student is unique and deserves a customized approach to their learning journey. Whether you’re a beginner aiming to grasp the basics or an advanced player seeking to enhance your technique, I tailor my lessons to match your skill level and musical goals. By combining technical training with creative exploration, I ensure that you build a solid foundation while also developing your own musical voice.

In addition to technical proficiency, I emphasize the importance of musical expression and enjoyment. My lessons include a mix of structured exercises, repertoire-building, and improvisational practice, allowing you to explore different styles and discover your personal musical identity. I aim to foster a supportive and inspiring environment where you feel encouraged to experiment and grow as a musician.

Outside of teaching, I remain actively engaged in the music community through performances and collaborations. This ongoing involvement keeps me connected to current trends and techniques, which I incorporate into my lessons. I’m committed to helping you achieve your musical aspirations and look forward to guiding you on your guitar-playing journey.
