I was a professional tutor working for the Clark College Tutoring Center for several years. Since then I've done online tutoring and have tutored friends and children of friends. I received an award for outstanding tutoring during my tenure at Clark College.

I help fill in the gaps that your classroom instructor might have left by giving your helpful mnemonics and analogies to paint a clearer picture of what your are studying. Then once armed with this clearer picture I stand back and act as a safety net while you do your homework, stepping in only to remind you the direction to go while you still get to learn from the practice. Most of my experience is with college students but I am also willing to work with motivated high school students who are struggling in their classes. I can provide rivers of knowledge, but I have to admit that I don't know how to make someone drink if they don't want to.
