About Victoria

I am a certified 200-hour teacher in Yoga & Anatomy, and registered with Yoga Alliance. This acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).

About the lesson

My name is Victoria Ucele, and I teach Yin Yoga, a quiet mindful practise that allows you to relax deeply as well as feel energised.

The long, slow poses in Yin Yoga give you time to listen to your body, releasing tension and calming your mind. The deep stretch also penetrates the connective tissue in areas so many of us have problems with, such as the back and hips, helping them to become stronger.

I focus on the physical, energetic, emotional & mental elements of yoga. I teach 'functionally' rather than 'aesthetically', so my sessions are accessible to all shapes, sizes & mindsets. I also look at everyone as individuals, with unique bodies and minds, and encourage my students to concentrate on what they can feel in the body rather than what it looks like. In this way, you can adapt your practice so it is particular to you, both in class and at home.

As well as the poses themselves, expect to find meditation and pranayama in my classes; both key elements to a balanced yoga practice. You will also learn more about the crossroads between yoga and the ancient Chinese ‘meridian theory’, and how you can bring it into both your practice and everyday life.

I offer tailored sessions for groups & individuals, both online and audio. When lockdown ends, I will be back to teaching face to face in Swansea, Cardiff & surrounding areas, so do get in touch and give Yin Yoga a try!
