About Heather

Heather has been in the wellness industry for nearly 20 years with both broad and in-depth training and experience. She found yoga during a tumultuous time in her 20’s while searching for a way to de-stress and find a deeper meaning in life. Soon after she began her personal practice she took her first 200-hour teacher training and began teaching yoga in studios, schools, retreats, and festivals around the globe while also attending numerous workshops, conferences, and retreats working with many world-renowned teachers, and shamans. She spent three years traveling the world to gain additional knowledge and understanding of the healing arts. Immersing in various cultures, villages, and tribes she has accumulated a variety of techniques and modalities that she has brought back to Northern California to share.

-1000+ hours of Yoga Alliance approved teaching certifications:
-Trained in Vinyasa, Pranayama, Philosophy, Anatomy & Physiology, Shamanic Yoga, Kirtan, & Buti Yoga.
-Completed the Medical Intuitive course with Carolyn Myss and Dr. Normam Shealy.
-Studied the Superhero Detoxification and Cleansing course with Dr. Gregrory Damato.
-Apprenticed in Conscious Living with Shaman Juan Pablo Barahona.
-Certified in Transformational Coaching with Michael Neill.
-Completed Elements of Life Coaching with Mindvalley.
-Trained Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner.
-Learned the tools and guiding principles of Plant Medicine & Shamanism from Indigenous medicine men & women.

About the lesson

The basis of my teaching philosophy is that yoga can benefit all body types; if you can breathe, you can benefit from yoga. My classes focus on the breath while leading students through a series of asanas creating space for a student to get into their body and out of their head while having fun. I incorporate several breathing, meditation, and silent practices to establish self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal development.

The sequence and intensity of the class vary in accordance with students' experience, energy and ability. My classes are accessible to beginners, while also challenging for intermediate students with individual attention paid to each student.
