About Ivor
A Levels- A*A*A in English Literature, Philosophy and psychology respectively.
GCSE - (concealed information) 9 in English Literature, and 8 in language.
I am enthusiastic, committed to learning, while not being overly serious, making sure I understand the effort and resilience required from students. My lessons come from my desire to help, my interest in English, and a bit of nostalgia for my GCSE and A level texts.

The 1 hour lesson-
After reviewing the previous week's lesson, I will choose an area of a text, segment of an exam, or selection of poems to focus on. This focus will include practising selecting the best quotes, analysis, practice paragraphs, and reviewing and forming better structure of these paragraphs, while also giving feedback and advice on full essays written by the student outside of the 1 hour lesson.
Creative writing (GCSE English Language)-
If relevant, 20 minutes of a lesson will be dedicated to creative writing, practising use of literary techniques, such as metaphor, as well as structure.
