About Jacob
I am currently training in MA Acting at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, prior to which I studied English Literature and Drama at the University of Birmingham, where I achieved a 2:1 with Honours. At A-level, I took Drama, English Literature, and History, where I achieved A*, A, A respectively.
I mentored several students during my undergraduate to help new students understand the demands of the course and adjust to university life.

My philosophy is to meet the requirements of each student as everyone's needs are different. My lessons are open and communicative with an aim to lift the work off the page and not have students always reading from a PowerPoint. My lessons are immersive and always aim to be creative. I also stress the importance of exam and essay technique as it is equally important to know how to answer a question rather than simply what to answer. My students range from KS3-undergraduate degree level.
Beyond tuition in English, Drama, and the humanities, I also proofread assignments while offering advice and guidance for university applications and personal statements.
