About Geordie
I am an undergraduate student in his fourth and final year at the University of Sussex. My degree involves studying American Literature, Poetry and Drama so it is pertinent to teaching literary skills.
I have a great deal of experience in working with young people from my work as a Team Leader with the NCS programme, to my work at an English Language school in Cambridge and working at an American summer camp as a counsellor and coach.
Literature was my premier subject up till university and I achieved an A* in the subject in my GCSEs and A-Levels at Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge. In addition to my academic achievements, I am a hobbyist writer and possess a great passion for creative writing.

I believe in tailoring a teaching style to the pupil's needs and subjects of focus. However, I believe that learning occurs at its best when students are engaged with the task of creating something, be it an essay or a short story.
In my lessons I will offer pupils a chance to discuss the topics they are studying at the moment so that they might better understand the topics and how to approach the subject at hand.
