About Courtney
My name is Courtney and I am an Assistant Professor at an Irish university. I hold a PhD in computer science and machine learning and also studied psychology during my third-level education. I'm especially interested in human-computer interaction, AI for social good, and explainable AI. I love teaching students of all levels. I know what it's like to learn challenging concepts, so I do my best to adapt my explanations and teaching style for each individual student.

I believe in making complex technical concepts accessible and engaging, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to deepen existing knowledge. I use a practical, project-based approach combined with clear explanations of underlying concepts.
Sessions are typically 60-90 minutes and follow this pattern:
- Brief review of previous concepts and any questions from practice work
- Introduction of new material with clear examples
- Hands-on practice where you work through problems with my guidance
- Assignment of optional practice work to reinforce learning
I believe in active learning - you'll be coding, experimenting, and problem-solving during our sessions, not just watching me demonstrate. I am an Assistant Professor at an Irish University with 3 years of teaching undergrads and postgrads.
