I am a retired, licensed attorney who has spent much of my 30-year career writing legal opinions. I have taught legal writing and have tutored in essay organization and analytical thinking. I love helping students to learn and improve their skills in ways that will translate well into their future work life.

I approach tutoring by first assessing the student's writing skills to pinpoint weaknesses or areas for improvement. I believe providing understandable and relatable examples of difficult concepts is key. I also believe that it is important to conceptualize the big picture before focusing on narrower issues.
