About Sky
I am 27 years old and am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), which is a certification awarded for expertise in behavioral science, also making me credible to practice applied behavior analysis (ABA) independently. Most work in the field of ABA as a BCBA entails the treatment of developmental disabilities through designing and modifying interventions. It also, however, includes the supervision and mentorship of behavior technicians, which is centered around teaching behavioral science principles to other providers. The job also includes teaching strategies to parents, making teaching concepts by breaking them down simply for people a large part of what I do.

My teaching method is behavior-analytic. Behavior analysis is the science of learning, and it can and should be applied to all learning situations, including assistance with course material. This type of strategy centers around acquiring skills necessary to excel independently. This includes gauging the amount of assistance necessary for achievement on behalf of the learner and systematically fading the level of assistance used for the learner to acquire the same level of achievement in novel but similar situations. Although all teachers will use this style of teaching to some degree, it helps to be a technically sound expert. This style of teaching can and should be used with all ages and in any situation.
